Jonah

In this series of podcast, the Accord Team, Rebecca and Naomi, examine the lives of Biblical personalities and their significance to us. In this episode, we look at Jonah who was a prophet of God. God gave him a message to give to the city of Nineveh but Jonah didn’t want to take the message to the people because he didn’t believe that they were worthy of God’s forgiveness.

Luke

We discover that Luke was not one of the 12 disciples but a Greek physician who lived in Antioch, a Greek gentile territory city in ancient Syria. He was a disciple of Paul and responsible for the most detailed description of the birth of Jesus.

Mark

In this series of podcast, the Accord Team, Rebecca and Naomi, examine the lives of Biblical personalities and their significance to us. In this episode, we examine the life of Mark. Mark was not one of the disciples and it is possible that he was a small child during the life of Jesus. After the death of Jesus, Mark went on to write the first Gospel in Greek for all of the Greek converts.

We learn that Ahab was originally a follower of Yahweh who married Jezebel the daughter of the King of Tyre.

In this episode, we look at Ruth who was a Moabite married to one of the sons of Naomi. When Naomi’s husband and two sons died, Ruth decided to stay with her and return to Bethlehem.
